AWS Introduces Telecom Competency to Accelerate Innovation in the Telco Industry

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is launching the AWS Telecommunications Competency, a program designed to assist telecommunications companies in finding trusted partners who offer consulting services in various key telecom solution areas. These AWS Telecom Competency Partners will aid telcos in accelerating solution innovation and modernizing their services by leveraging the latest offerings within the telco industry.

The AWS Telecom Competency focuses on specialized AWS Partners who provide professional services in crucial telecom areas, including Operations Support Systems (OSS), Business Support Systems (BSS), Communications as a Service (CaaS), Mobile Networks, and Media & TV. By collaborating with such partners, AWS customers can easily discover vetted experts for the development, deployment, and management of comprehensive telecom solutions.

A few of the prominent partners in the program include Tech Mahindra, Tata, Deloitte, IBM, Cognizant, and NTT DATA. These partners have undergone a thorough validation process of their technical skills and have showcased their successful implementation through case studies.

To participate as an AWS Telecom Competency Partner, telecom solution providers must satisfy the stringent technical validation requirements established by AWS, along with proving their track record of customer success. In addition to the benefits offered by the general AWS Competency Program, AWS Telecom Competency Partners receive private account planning sessions.

For AWS Partners seeking validation of their telecom offerings through the AWS Competency Program, they must already be validated or differentiated members of the Services Path before applying. The AWS Partner Central provides a Program Guide and application for solution providers interested in applying to become an AWS Telecom Competency Partner.

With the launch of the AWS Telecommunications Competency, AWS aims to create a network of trusted partners who can assist telcos in driving innovation, optimizing services, and meeting the evolving needs of the telecom industry.
