Several cases were brought before the Columbiana County Municipal Court recently. Curtis Gearhart, a resident of South Lincoln Avenue, Lisbon, is facing third-degree felony intimidation charges, as well as misdemeanor charges of aggravated menacing and obstructing official business. The case has been bound over to the county grand jury.
Robert Malecki, from Orwell, has also had his case bound over to the county grand jury. He is facing a fifth-degree felony possession of drugs charge, as well as charges of engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools, and drug paraphernalia. Malecki was allegedly found in possession of 2.90 grams of methamphetamine after arriving in East Palestine for an arranged sexual encounter.
Quentin Harrison, who resides in Waynesburg, Pa., has been fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. Harrison responded to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranged for a meeting with a female in East Palestine.
Adam Moore, from Hurricane, W.Va., was fined $750 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for possessing criminal tools and disorderly conduct. Moore had arranged for sexual conduct with an undercover agent in Salem. He was ordered to forfeit $180 to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force and complete a 12-hour online prostitution prevention course.
Other cases set for pretrial include Dustin Wells, charged with fleeing and eluding a police officer and endangering children, Lindsay Fraas, charged with telecommunications harassment, Heidi Gorby, also charged with telecommunications harassment, and Alan James, charged with violation of a protection order and telecommunications harassment.
These are just a few of the cases recently heard in the Columbiana County Municipal Court.
