Paratus Telecom was established in 2005. The company started operating as Internet Technologies in Namibia. It was the first private and 100% wholly owned Namibian telecommunications operator. After inception, Paratus Telecom has developed a prolific network extending entire Namibia with a number of additional international PoP located in Johannesburg (SA), Lisbon (Portugal) and London (UK). Paratus Telecom holds now 100% Namibian private ownership. Moreover, the company has received a Class Comprehensive Telecommunications Service License (ECS & ECNS).
Paratus Telecom is willing to process of creating more base stations in Windhoek to expand coverage. Moreover, the company has already extended its coverage to Gobabis, Walvis Bay, Oshakati and Katima Mulilo and wants to expand more widely. The company has a list of 20 additional towns that will benefit from this technology over the next 18 months.
