Gilat Satellite Networks has been awarded a contract to modernize the satellite network for Ethio Telecom in Ethiopia. The project will utilize Gilat’s SkyEdge II-c with hundreds of Capricorn and Gemini VSATs to enhance the satellite-based 4G cellular backhaul capabilities and enterprise communications in remote areas of the country.
Ethio Telecom’s Chief Network Infrastructure Officer, Tesfaye Tadesse Woldesemayat, expressed satisfaction with the selection of Gilat for this project.
