UK-based esports organization Guild Esports has announced the expansion of its multi-million-pound sponsorship deal with telecommunications company Sky. The extended deal will see Guild Esports receive an increased sponsorship fee for the second and third years of the three-year agreement.
As part of the expanded partnership, Sky’s Sky Glass streaming TV has become the Official Television partner of Guild Esports. The Sky Glass brand and its streaming TVs will now be featured within Guild Esports’ London headquarters. Alongside this, Sky has invested a ‘six-figure’ sum to refurbish the Sky Guild Gaming Centre, the venue used by the organization’s players for practice. The gaming center will now have improved branding and upgraded facilities.
In addition to the expanded deal with Sky, Guild Esports has been making strides in the industry. They recently completed a £600,000 funding round to expand into sim racing and also secured a deal with gaming furniture brand Secretlab.
Jasmine Skee, CEO of Guild Esports, expressed excitement about the expanded partnership with Sky and the growth of both brands. She believes that the collaboration sets the standard for partnerships in the esports realm.
Overall, Guild Esports is solidifying its position as one of the largest esports organizations in the UK.
