Kuwait Center Opens Registrations for International Robotics Competition

The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, under the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, has announced the opening of registrations for the upcoming International Robotics Competition. The event is scheduled to take place in Tallinn, Estonia, from November 17 to 18.

The director-general of the center, Nada Abdullah Al-Daihani, expressed the center’s excitement in welcoming talented and innovative Kuwaitis to participate in the qualifying rounds of this prestigious international event. Registration is open for Kuwaitis aged between 14 and 15, regardless of gender, from September 25 to October 3, 2023. Al-Daihani emphasized that the center’s participation in such events aligns with their ongoing commitment to inspire and support students by refining their skills, expanding their knowledge in the field of robotics, and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity. The center also aims to leverage advancements in robotic science and technology.

In preparation for the competition, the center will conduct necessary training courses to equip participating teams. These courses will provide guidance on designing, constructing, programming, and managing robots. By offering this preparation, the teams will be able to tackle challenges alongside participants from various countries.

From the qualifying participants, the top three teams will be selected to represent Kuwait in this esteemed global competition.
