In Ohio, construction is taking place in Bucyrus, Defiance, Eaton, Fremont, Greenville, London, Monroeville, Mount Gilead, New Philadelphia, Perkins Township, Perrysburg, Sandusky, and Wooster. Omni Fiber is expanding outside of Ohio for the first time, with construction currently underway in North Uniontown, South Uniontown, and portions of Uniontown in Western Pennsylvania. Construction will also commence soon in Connellsville and South Connellsville.
Once construction is completed, residents and businesses in these areas will have access to affordable and reliable high-speed broadband with fiber internet plans up to 2 Gbps (2,000 Mbps), as well as traditional and streaming TV options, and phone service. The investments for these projects will be funded entirely by Omni Fiber, without relying on government funding or grants.
Omni Fiber launched its services in December 2022 and currently serves 11 markets in Ohio. The company aims to reach underserved or uncompetitive towns across the Midwest.
Construction for these projects is already underway or will start soon, with installations expected to begin in the fall and early next year.
