Amdocs, a leading provider of software and services to communications and media companies, has been selected by PLDT Inc. (PLDT) and its subsidiary, Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), for their cloud modernization efforts on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This multi-year agreement will enable PLDT and Smart to achieve greater agility, efficiency, and scalability while enhancing the customer experience.
PLDT, a telecommunications and digital service provider in the Philippines, is modernizing its IT infrastructure to improve business agility and respond faster to market dynamics. Amdocs will play a crucial role in this transformation by migrating select business-critical systems and applications to AWS. The company will provide cloud strategy, planning consultancy, and cloud security and operations services while leveraging its new AI-driven cloud operations platform hosted on AWS.
By utilizing AWS’s cloud services, PLDT and Smart will benefit from elasticity, agility, automation, and performance. Additionally, AWS’s breadth and depth of cloud services will assist in building applications and managing infrastructure, allowing PLDT and Smart to focus on innovation and enhancing customer experiences.
